Moon Child | Oil Painting | Wild Woman Art
"she was a moonfower
awakening at night
serene and wild
floating in her dreams
feeling complete"
Naïma
Description and meaning of the Arwork:
This oil painting represents a woman in water, like a mermaid ... she has the howling wolf by her side and the moon. I was inspired by the kelp forest I saw when I was on Vancouver Island and the wild sea wolves. I wanted to encapsulate that energy on a painting. I visited Vancouver Island in 2019 in hope to see wild wolves and it was an incredible experience.
I've always felt like a wild moon child...meant to roam free and move with the rhythm of the waves. I feel whole when I surrender to my untamed self. The wolf is my guardian, my guide, always close. I trust the unknown, and I follow the call of my dreams.
